About Us

What's in a name? Having two sisters agree on a name isn't easy, we went through about 20 different names before we landed on "Style on 29". I'll give all the credit to Kelly for the name. That way if you don't like it, blame her! :) Kelly and I were both born on the same day, the 29th!  (May 29th and mine on September 29th)  Also, last year my son was born on October 29th. I'd say 29 is definitely a lucky number in our family!

Kelly and I are born and raised Minnesota girls and we love it! We spent small stints in Seattle; Bloomington, Indiana (Sam's college years) and Chicago (Kelly's college years), but found ourselves heading back home to Minneapolis!

I am the younger of the bunch and no that does not mean I was the favorite. If I ever was I have now been trumped by my new and oh so adorable nephew, Crosby.

I would describe my style as fun, flirty and at times a little beachy. (deep down I think I was secretly meant to be a California girl) I am more of a risk taker between the two of us, I like to test out new colors, patterns and textures. My celeb fashion inspirations would include Jennifer Aniston, Lauren Conrad and Rachel Bilson.

I am a full time teacher, part time nanny and full time student....wow that was a mouthful. In my free time if I ever have it I love to spend time with my wonderful nephew, run around one our beautiful Minnesota lakes, pretending to be a decent photographer or catch up on my shows. Currently loving Scandal and Revenge...not too late to tune in.

I'm the older and wiser sister.. haha! 

I would describe my style as pretty simple and classic and love all things J.Crew and Banana Republic. My fashion icons would include Audrey Hepburn, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston. On a typical day you'll find me wearing black, gray, or brown of some kind, but have made a new years resolution to add more color to my wardrobe!

Last year was a big year for me, we moved to the suburbs of Minneapolis, I turned thirty and became a mama to my beautiful boy, Crosby. (I know, he's pretty cute right?) I've been happily married for two+ years and work in Public Affairs at a non-profit in Saint Paul. You can check out all things mama and Crosby at my blog, Pote Adventures.

When I'm away from the computer, you'll find me catching up on my favorite TV shows (Mad Men or anything on Bravo!), trying out new restaurants, discovering new music and hanging out with family and friends.
